About the UK-Ireland Network
The SHAFR UK-Ireland Network is intended to serve members of SHAFR based in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The network primarily meets through a regular online seminar. These seminars provide an opportunity for scholars who are based in the U.K. and Ireland and are interested in U.S. diplomatic, transnational, and international/global history to engage and learn about each other’s research. Typically, seminars take the format of a discussion of a pre-circulated paper, with another historian serving as lead discussant. Graduate students are very welcome and encouraged to join and present. The network also arranges other events, including in-person workshops and other networking opportunities.
