Washington, DC – Are you looking for ways to enjoy the beautiful fall weather in DC? The Woodrow Wilson House offers a number of fun, affordable and socially-distanced outdoor activities for you to enjoy on your own or with friends:
Halloween Game Night
Friday, October 30, 5:30 – 7pm
Enjoy the beautiful fall weather in the historic Woodrow Wilson House garden at HALLOWEEN GAME NIGHT, the perfect happy hour for museum, history, and game enthusiasts! Try your hand at croquet, bocce ball and ring toss, or bring your own board games to play with members of your “bubble.” While you are here, explore the outdoor Suffrage Outside! exhibition on display throughout the garden or hang out in the open air on the rooftop terrace to show off your costume. Hungry? Mexitrachos food truck will be out front to take the edge off any zombie munchies.
$15 Admission includes one drink and outdoor seating.

Kalorama Walking Tour
The audio-guided Kalorama Walking Tour includes a downloadable map and a number for accessing audio descriptions by phone. Hear about the history and cultural diversity of the magnificent Kalorama neighborhood from those who know this neighborhood best: the diplomats, historic site representatives, residents who live and work here, and friends of the Wilson House, with guest appearances from famous Washingtonians.
The walking tour route starts and ends at the Woodrow Wilson House and is wheelchair/stroller accessible. Take the tour anytime you want, at your own pace. All you need is a cell phone and our downloadable map to navigate.

The Waddy Butler Wood Walking Tour
Explore the beautiful Kalorama neighborhood with the newly launched Waddy Butler Wood Walking Tour. This self-guided tour is available as a printable .pdf and takes approximately 90 minutes to complete. You will find the history of thirteen houses designed by the Waddy Butler Wood (the architect of the Wilson House) and the stories of the people who lived in them. Once you have downloaded the map and descriptions you can follow the tour at a time of your choice and at your own pace.

Suffrage Outside! Exhibition

Suffrage Outside! celebrates the 100th Anniversary of Women's Suffrage in the District’s first all-outside, socially-distanced exhibition, located in the historic Wilson House garden. Discover how women’s work outside the home, outside in the streets, outside the United States, as well as the work and leadership of Black women kept outside the ‘mainstream,’ collectively propelled the American women’s suffrage campaign to victory in 1920.
The exhibition is the only all outdoor, newly designed museum exhibition in DC. Read more about it in the nationally circulated publication Saving Places and watch the television coverage on the WUSA9 morning show.

The President Woodrow Wilson House is a property of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, a privately funded, non-profit corporation, helping people protect, enhance and enjoy the places that matter to them.
